2. Nature of the Service

LEX.AI is an analytical tool designed to assist users in understanding their contracts. LEX.AI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The analysis, risk scores, suggestions, and any other output generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence algorithms and should be treated as informational analysis only.

The Service is designed to supplement — not replace — professional legal counsel. While our AI provides expert-level analysis and catches risks that are commonly overlooked, the output should be considered one factor in your decision-making process.

3. User Responsibilities

By using LEX.AI, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are responsible for your own legal decisions and actions taken based on the analysis provided.
• The Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and LEX.AI.
• You will not rely solely on the Service for critical legal decisions without appropriate professional consultation.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and regulations.
• You will not upload contracts that you do not have authorization to share or analyze.

4. Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for the highest accuracy in our AI analysis, no automated system is infallible. Risk scores, clause assessments, and suggested language are generated algorithmically and may not capture every nuance of a particular legal situation, jurisdiction, or industry-specific requirement.

LEX.AI makes no guarantee that the analysis will identify every risk, clause, or issue in a given contract. The absence of a flagged risk does not constitute a determination that the contract is free of legal issues.

5. Data Privacy and Security

We take the security of your contracts seriously. All uploaded documents are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell, share, or use your contract data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. Contract text is processed by our AI models for analysis purposes only.

6. Subscription and Billing

LEX.AI offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LEX.AI and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to LEX.AI in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
